    To meet the need for higher density configuration memory along with multiple bitstream images and on-orbit reconfigurability, we offer the COnfiguration Memory BOot Manager COMBO family, a unique space-grade solution that not only combines all required hardware and firmware resources in a single module, but also has the smallest PCB form factor on the market.

    The Configuration Memory Boot Manager is capable of performing the following functions in a space environment:

    Reliable storage

    • Securely store/read/delete files up to 64GB using space-qualified components and processes (use of radiation-hard components/shielding/burn-in).
    • Provision of all required data integrity mechanisms (CRC / ECC / RS codes / wear leveling / flash bad block management / TMR / watchdog / redundant elements).
    • Storage of the bit stream in the orbit

    Charger

    • Boot SRAM-based FPGAs and MPSoCs that require a large memory configuration.

    What are
    COMBO interfaces

    The 3DCO0849 COMBO is a space-saving configuration memory boot manager for booting SRAM-based FPGAs and MPSoCs that require a large configuration memory.

    The COMBO module offers a unique solution that not only combines all required hardware resources in a single module for booting SRAM-based FPGAs, but also has the smallest PCB footprint available on the market. 

    The UART/SPI interface enables the following on the ground:

    • Read/Write/Erasefiles
    • Saving the initial file system tables and mission parameters

    During the mission, the 2SPI interfaces can be used to:

    • One for booting the SRAM-based FPGA
    • One for reading/writing files

    During the mission, the SelectMap interface can be used to:

    • Booting the SRAM-based FPGAdes SRAM-basierten FPGAs
    • Detection of errors in the configuration layer of the FPGA
    • Scrubs and monitoring of the SRAM-based FPGA.

    A turnkey solution compatible with SRAM FPGAs:

    • Secure booting of the SRAM-based FPGA, which requires a large configuration memory
